Celebrating 30 years of Independence HAGI Community Services for Independence was formed, under another name, in 1975 by persons with disabilities in Thunder Bay. Our mandate is to, “improve the quality of life for persons with a disability” by providing services that enable persons with physical disabilities to play an active role in their community. We provide the following core services: - Barrier-Free Housing
- Support Care Services
- A Parallel Transit Service
- Recreational Programs for People with Disabilities and Seniors
Our organization is recognized as a leading community service agency in Ontario. With a staff of over 150, complimented by a vast network of volunteers, HAGI Community Services for Independence serves 3,000 persons in and around the Thunder Bay area. We are a community-based organization and 100% of our funds stay in Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario.
