The Support Service Living Unit program provides a combination of accessible, subsidized housing with twenty-four hour personal assistance service.
Personal assistance enables adults with a physical disability to live independently in the community. Essentially, personal assistance is providing persons with physical disabilities with activities of daily living that, if the person did not have a disability, they could do for themselves. The services are initiated and directed by the consumer and are available on a schedules and per request basis.
Personal assistance may include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Personal grooming and hygiene
- Bathing and washing
- Transferring and positioning
- Meal preparation
- Dressing and undressing
- Toileting and bladder/bowel care
- Housekeeping
Supportive Housing Cluster Units
The Supportive Housing program provides the combination of accessible housing units with twenty-four hour support in a shared living environment.The cluster units in Andras Court offer two five-unit clusters for ten individuals who require access to on-site support. The environment is more structured for individuals who have social as well as physical care needs.
