Subsidized Camping Application

HAGI TV Bingo is proud to sponsor subsidized camping at the Wilderness Discovery Centre.

This subsidy program provides individuals or families the opportunity to stay at Wilderness Discovery at a reduced rate of $25 per person, per night. Kids 16 and under are free. To qualify, applicants must be receiving ODSP or senior receiving full supplements. Must provide proof of income with application.

Applicants must first be approved for a subsidy prior to booking cabin. Once approved, reservations can be made by calling (807) 346‐9722 or via email at info@wdcentre.net.

Note: Limit 1 application per family, per year. Subsidy is provided for up to 4 nights if available.

Consent and Participation Policy for Camping Sessions

Personal Mileage Claim: If required, participants may submit a personal mileage claim for one vehicle. To do so, please request and complete the mileage form.

Participant Responsibilities: Participants are responsible for bringing the following items to all camping sessions:

Personal food and drink(s)
Food storage containers, aluminum foil, saran wrap, and paper towels
Keurig Pods or coffee and filters
Personal Support Care Worker
Personal items such as hygiene items, clothes, swimsuits, etc.
Bug spray and sunscreen
Fishing rod, fishing net, and bait
All required medical equipment and supplies

Provided Amenities: The camping sessions offer the following amenities:

Fully wheelchair accessible cabin or suite
Wheel‐in shower
Fully equipped kitchen with dishes, cups, utensils, dish soap, dish cloth, tea towels, rags, microwave, countertop stove, refrigerator, and freezer
Keurig Machine/Coffee Machine
Linens including sheets, blankets, towels, and pillows
BBQ and propane
Air Conditioning
Filtered (drinkable) water
One Power Wheelchair and one Scooter available on a first-come, first-served basis

Pet Policy:

Only registered service pets are allowed, and documentation must be provided.
Participants are responsible for the care, management, and clean-up of their pets.
Failure to comply will result in a cleaning fee.

Cleaning and Damages Fee:

If applicable, a cleaning and damages fee will be charged for failure to leave the cabin in a clean condition (excluding normal wear and tear) upon departure.
A replacement fee will be applied for any missing linen.
